La Comisión Académica del Máster U. En Inteligencia Artificial en su 74ª Reunión celebrada el 2 de julio de 2020 ha decidido que la titulación se imparta de forma online durante el primer semestre del próximo curso académico 2020/21, debido al actual estado de pandemia y a la escasez de aulas en el Centro que hace que con la distancia de seguridad (1.5m) no puedan albergar a los suficientes alumnos.
La decisión de impartición online no tiene marcha atrás durante el primer semestre, es decir, aunque haya cualquier cambio de legislación sobre las normativas de seguridad no se volverá en ningún caso al modelo presencial durante el semestre, lo cual perjudicaría a los alumnos procedentes de otras Comunidades Autónomas o del extranjero.
Se disponen de medios institucionales para la impartición de la titulación de forma online (moodle, Microsoft Teams, zoom, skype…). Las clases se impartirán por videoconferencia en los horarios establecidos y las actividades de evaluación también serán online.
Para el segundo semestre se mantiene la intención de impartirlo de forma presencial, aunque se recuerda que los seminarios se vienen impartiendo tanto presencialmente como por videoconferencia y que el Trabajo Fin de Máster (TFM) se puede desarrollar de forma no presencial. Por tanto, aunque el máster se imparta de forma presencial en el segundo semestre (lo cual permite la incorporación de alumnos como becarios a grupos de investigación y al Centro Tecnológico Ai.nnovation Space para la realización de los TFMs), los alumnos que lo deseen podrían realizar también no presencial este semestre.
El día 17 de julio se publicarán las guías de aprendizaje de las asignaturas adaptadas a la modalidad online en la página web de la titulación, los horarios y el calendario académico.
La matriculación se realizará del 20 de julio al 4 de agosto y del 14 al 30 de septiembre de 2020. Os aconsejamos matricular en el periodo de julio para evitar problemas con los cupos de alumnos en asignaturas y porque el curso se iniciará en la segunda semana de septiembre.
At its 74th meeting held on 2 July 2020, the MSc in Artificial Intelligence Academic Committee has decided that, due to the current pandemic and the shortage of lecture theatres and seminar rooms at the School of Computer Engineering in which to accommodate enough students at a safe distance of 1.5 metres, the programme will be delivered online during the first semester of the coming 2020/21 academic year.
This decision is not reversible, that is, face-to-face tuition will not be reintroduced even if there is a change in the legislation on the safety regulations, as this would be unfair for international students or students from other regions (Autonomous Communities) of Spain.
Institutional resources are available for the online delivery of the master's degree programme (Moodle, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, etc.). Lectures/seminars will be delivered by videoconference according to the established timetables, and assessment activities will also be remote.
The planned official delivery mode for the second semester is face to face. Students are reminded, however, that seminars will be taught both face to face and by videoconference, and students will be able to develop their master's thesis online. Therefore, even if the second semester of the master's programme is delivered face to face (with provision for students to take up master's thesis scholarships in research groups and at the Ai.nnovation Space Technology Centre), students also have the option of completing this semester online, if they prefer.
The learning guides for the courses adapted to the online delivery mode, timetables and academic calendar will be published on the MSc in Artificial Intelligence website as of 17 July 2020.
Students should enroll from 20 July to 4 August 2020 or from 4 to 30 September 2020. You are advised to enroll during the July-August enrolment period to guarantee a place on your preferred courses because the programme starts in the second week of September.
